Day 35 One thing I am loving about this sixty-five-day walk journey is the opportunity to revisit parks I have not been in for awhile and to hang out with some great friends. Today I walked 4.17 miles with Jackie from church. She and I have never walked together and it was a wonderful wayContinue reading “Reverse Walk”

Misremember
Day 34 One of my Akron long distance walkers met me at the Wilbeth Trailhead on the Ohio Erie Canal Towpath in Akron. I got there fifteen minutes early and immediately took pictures of the pond on the opposite side of the canal. I thought I had never been there before. It was so beautiful.Continue reading “Misremember”
Half Way There
Day 33 Woo whoo! I am half way through the sixty-five day walking journey! Today I walked with my seven-year-old grandson for forty-five minutes for two miles in the 80 plus degrees temperatures. I have walked with him in the past from stroller to running. However due to COVID-19, it has been over a yearContinue reading “Half Way There”
God laughed
Day 32 God had fun with Sonia and I tonight. I was hoping to walk at least four miles with her because we have done it in the past. We prayed and chatted like we normally do on our walks. What was different is we walked in the North Chagrin Reservation. We have walked inContinue reading “God laughed”
Obstacle Course Hike
Day 31 As usual my Tuesday walker was somewhere else walking outside and I was hiking simultaneously with my husband. We hiked three hours while half an hour of that time I talked with my friend on the phone for 3.02 miles. Every now and then I would tell her what I was looking at.Continue reading “Obstacle Course Hike”
APT Walk
Day 30 My husband and I walked yesterday and today. So far it seems we are setting a habit of hiking and walking on Sunday and Monday because of my sixty-five days of walking. Sundays are always our weekly date; we hike or go to the movies. But we have not been to a movieContinue reading “APT Walk”

Day 29 At the end of the month is the NFL Draft in Cleveland. From now until April 27 thirty-two NFL football team helmets are on displayed in Mall C downtown. My husband and I decided to walk there. Once we finished taking pictures of all the helmets we walked 3.09 miles around downtown. WeContinue reading “City Walk”
The Big Six
Day 28 The Holy Spirit gave me some major encouragement today. Polly and I walked in the South Chagrin Reservation. We walked 6.12 miles on a hilly all purpose trail (APT). We have used to this park and others to train for hilly races. The last time I walked this section of the APT wasContinue reading “The Big Six”
Infused
Day 27 It was warmer than predicted. The sunny mid thirty degree temperatures felt comfortable after yesterday’s low twenties. Most of my walk was around the entire campus of the Geauga University Hospital. Every month I have infusions of Cinqair for my eosinophils asthma. This was my third one. Ever since these infusions have startedContinue reading “Infused”
Impromptu Hike
Day 26 We woke up to a world of white snow. My Thursday walking partner and I planned to walk inside because of the forecast. However, my husband mentioned taking a hike and I was all in. I did not want to walk on a street or all purpose trail in this weather but hikingContinue reading “Impromptu Hike”
