Day Nine
In “the story of WITH: A Better Way to Live, Love & Create” Mia rides the elevator up to the second floor and enters a kitchen full of delightful smells and people creating them. Before she knows it she is selecting seven ingredients for her own creation with the help of other like minded chefs. Immersed in what brings her the most joy a large man with scars grabs her and takes her away.
According to Allen Arnold.
Now her heart is being awakened. Which is exactly what she needs at this stage of her journey. We can’t be fully present to God or others if our hearts have flat-lined. That’s why Scripture (Proverbs 4:23) tells us nothing is more important than protecting our hearts. How is your heart doing on this moment? Are you aware of the things you do each day that either numb or nurture your heart? If you can’t name specific ways you are taking care of your heart, then it is probably in need of attention.
I have a serious obsession. I love to travel. If I am not traveling somewhere on a plane, in a car, on a cruise ship, on a train, or in a motor coach at least once a quarter I like to say I develop a nervous tick. I don’t actually tick but I feel antsy and am ready to hit the road. Because of this passion instilled in me through my traveling parents God has enabled me to go to many places, such as all fifty states, Canada, many Caribbean islands, Mexico, Indonesia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, and other places. I have only touched the tip of the iceberg of places I desire to see. With this longing, God has enabled me to own a travel agency to help others make their dreams come true. Even though I am now a retired travel agent, the need to travel remains in me. I continue to tell others of my travel adventures with God as He takes me there.
