Day Eleven
“A Heart Prepared: Savor the Story of Christmas Advent Legacy Journal” led me into the uncomfortable and long journey Mary and Joseph had to take. Their reliance on God was strong as they endured the hardship of living out His will as they waited for His promises to be fulfilled.
So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born (Luke 2:4-6)
March 2020 over fifty of us was scheduled to travel to Egypt and United Arab Emirates for thirteen days. The pandemic pushed the date back to March 2021, then again to May 2021. In January 2021 I thought about cancelling by playing my “sick” card because of eosinophilic asthma and allergies. Plus I did not want to travel to a foreign land in a pandemic. However, the Holy Spirit told me “no, you are going, wearing a KN95 black mask, plus you are going to write and post an article every day about your experience.” Thirty-four of us made that trip, none of us encountered COVID-19, or was harmed. The thrill of being where Bible ancestors and Jesus had walked along with sailing on the Nile on a river cruise was worth it. We all relied on God to provide and protect us and he did!
