Bohemians

Day Fifteen

The Blue Door leads Mia down a blue lit tunnel to a party of people living their Story with God. They were from all backgrounds and talents sharing and enjoying each other in small groups and collectively as a larger group. Allen Arnold in “the story of WITH: A Better Way to Live, Love & Create” reminds us of creative fellowship with God, as he writes:

We need relationships with others. One without the other is less than what we were created for. That’s why Scripture tells us loving God and others are the highest priorities of our lives (Mark 12:29). On a practical level your creativity will soar when you surround yourself with a small fellowship of like-minded bohemians from a variety of backgrounds. . . I am talking about a small fellowship of friends who, depending on the moment, have permission to lift you up or pull you back down to earth. You need a group like that and they need you. Because there’s more to your Story than you and God. There’s also you and others.

This is so true. I am grateful for how God puts us in His body of believers from different backgrounds to encourage and help each other in our walk with Him. I love the people in the small group God has placed me in. They have no problem pushing me forward or addressing something not quite godly in my behavior. Without the people God has put in my life who knows how far I would have strayed away from God.
