Day Twenty-One
“A Heart Prepared: Savor the Story of Christmas Advent Legacy Journal” shows us the truth about Jesus’s reign. He did not come in a chariot but came riding on a donkey. Today it is important to declare the truth about ourselves. Satan wants us to believe all sorts of negative things about who we are as creations of God. According to this advent study:
If you declare with your mouth who you are in Christ and who you were created to be, you will begin to believe your new identity. If you declare the good purpose and plans He predestined for you, you will begin to walk in His way. If you declare the blood of Jesus over every wound, every label, every lie, it will change your heart, and you will become a (person) who trusts God’s powerful love for you.
The truth about Jesus is best said in Matthew 2:4-6:
When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born. “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written: “‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’”
Because of our Shepherd we are Children of God, God’s treasured possession.
