Day Five
It amazes me how Mary at first questioned God on how she was pregnant when she was a virgin, but was immediately ready to do His will once it was explained. “A Heart Prepared: Savor the Story of Christmas Advent Legacy Journal” reminded me that with God I can do His will despite my fear or doubts.
How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:34-35)
For eleven years I was writing a fiction about adultery and how God works through that. Only thirteen chapters were written. As a child I had a vivid imagination and fiction writing was easy. But this was not. I got lost in who my characters were where and they were going. Then November 26, 2017 the Holy Spirit shouted to me in the middle of a church service “put the fiction down for now and write the real story!”
“What? I asked? I am a nobody! Who wants to read my story?” In that sermon through a visiting pastor He reminded me I was God’s Treasured Possession. Through watery blurred vision the seed of “Lives of a Gem! God’s Treasured Possession” was planted and watered. Since the release of this first creation from God He has made it clear there will be no return to the fiction but writings of personal experiences with Him.
