Day 8

A fly whizzed past our heads and white flowers peeked from the ground. It is the last weekend in Winter but Spring was sending its notice that it was coming. My husband and I hiked 3.24 miles in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park in 52 degree air temperature, with blue sky, and splashes of white thin clouds. This area had a lot of unusual downed trees lying in blazes of red due to storms . The trees chatted to us with loud grunts, creaks, and moans. Some trees even threw their branches down at us. We laughed when one squealed loudly like a child when we passed. Hiking here at night would be scary. We were grateful we were day hikers.
