God’s Love Letter

My dear Juel,

You are the gem I created and brought forth into the world sixty-six years ago. I have such great plans for you. I cried for you when you did not love yourself. I sent my love to you so that you could love yourself like I do. I felt your pain all the times you were hurt, abused, forgotten, rejected, hated, shamed, and toss aside. I sent my angels with balms of love to heal those raw open wounds inflected by others so that you could see me and know I am your eternal source of comfort. I love how you search for me and hear me when I send you on unusual journeys that look crazy to the world but are meant for your good and the good of others. May you always know that I will never send you where I will not keep you. As you age I have so many more ways for you to be a glory for me. You are my precious possession and I am so happy I created you.

Love, God

I am in the middle of reading “How to be a Missionary in Your Hometown” by Joel Nagel. On Friday of the first week we are to write a love letter that God wrote.
