Silence, Solitude, Sabbath Part 3

Week Three

Finding time to be alone with God is hard! This week was the worst. God has my schedule full with His will for me. Eking out two hours to be alone with him was impossible. Today I was able to squeeze in walking alone with Him in a park I had never been in before. My once every four week Cinqair infusion took an hour longer than normal. So I wasn’t able to get to the park when I planned. But with that short time alone I spent time gazing at the lake, geese, ducks, blue heron, and enjoying the wind caressing my locs. I longed for more time but I had to leave to do His work helping teens to learn how to drive. I prayed while I walked and asked what more could I do. His schedule is my schedule. When this month’s discipline is over, meeting God alone will be once a quarter for four or more hours. My morning quiet times alone with Him, hikes in the woods and outdoor activities with Him and others will suffice in between.
