Day 11
When we scheduled the 6:30 a.m. date we forgot about the one hour time change. Sunrise was due an hour later. We would have to walk in the dark. I have night time lights and reflected gear. She might have too, but neither of us wanted to do that. So we walked on a recreation indoor track for 2.71 miles. It was the first time I had put my foot in a recreation center since the shut down in 2020. I had been in no hurry to be in any center with people. This particular center only allowed ten people on the track. So, we both felt comfortable to walk. We each had to stand in front of a temperature reader device. This was my first time doing one of these. I am accustomed to a person scanning me. Then we had to sign in and record our temperature. New plexiglass surrounded the front desk. Otherwise everything was the same, just less people.
We had not seen each other since before COVID-19 so we had much to say. The miles flew by. We had to separate because she had to go to work and I had a date with Bible Study Fellowship ladies. It was a short forty-five minute walk. I had enough time to drive up the street to the top of a hill to watch God bring light to the area. Thank you Lord, for early rises to see You.
