Four weeks ago today I had my stomach surgery. The small cancer like tumor known as a G.I.S.T (gastrointestinal stromal tumor) was detached from my stomach along with a portion of my stomach to make sure all the cells from the tumor was out. Therefore, no need for chemo afterwards. Now annually I will have a CT Scan to make sure nothing grows back for the next five years.
During those four weeks I have to endure clear liquid, full liquid, soft, and finally a regular diet. Thanks only to God I was not laid low like I thought. The doctor said I needed to move every hour and that is what I did. I love to walk. So, I have been walking a lot. My pace is not where I can be, but it is happening and getting faster every day. During these weeks God enabled me to continue to publish His weekly devotionals and weekly Monday Emissions From The Heart videos.
We had an annual trip to DC planned and some thought I would not be able to go. But God enabled that five-day trip to happen which included walking all day in three Smithsonians and along the Potomac River. He also had me to publish two travel articles about the trip. Those articles are “Club Wyndham Old Town Alexandria” and “Three Smithsonian Adventure”. Two videos about the trip are still in the works.
He also sent me on a trip to Summit county to gather some information for a fifth website project He has had me working on since early this year. That website is scheduled to open soon. It’s a website that has “impossible” tied to it. What God wants of this website is something I can’t do on my own, but will require Him to grow it.
I love how God works! Despite what ailments or obstacles come our way his plan continues on. I love how doing all for God’s glory, living on His schedule, and praying Big is the only way to go!
