OH my gosh! I just finished reading “This Present Darkness”! I don’t know where to start! This is one of many fiction books that Frank E Peretti writes about the spiritual battle that we all fight. Every day Satan’s cronies attempt to warp our minds into thinking and doing evil against God. Prayers are what weaken Satan and his army and strengthens God’s angels. The battle here is about Satan’s plans in taking the town of Ashton. This is a vivid reminder that “ . . .our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” Ephesians 6:12-13.
