Sweet Like Jasmine

God blessed me by placing in my hands “Sweet Like Jasmine: Finding Identity in a Culture of Loneliness” by Bonnie Gray. As a reader I loved her story as she revealed how God moved in her life despite her childhood environment. She educated me at the end of each chapter with information from her Chinese culture. As a writer I marveled at her choice of descriptive language to convey her message and I pray God enables me use words that flow like hers. This is a book for the unloved, abused, neglected, and those who struggle with God’s purpose for them. This helped me to reconfirm God’s purpose for me despite my past.
