That Time of Year

How is it that Thanksgiving is next week? This year Thanksgiving and Christmas are both on the 25th of the month. This generally happens every seven years except when a leap year falls within the seven years and two years are added. I have never paid attention to when both Thanksgiving and Christmas were on the 25th until this year. This year this jumped out at me.

This is also the time when we start thinking about Christmas and what plans need to happen especially if travel is involved. Last year was different for our family. Because of the pandemic no gathering was had for either Thanksgiving or Christmas. We had Zoom gatherings and dropped off gifts. This year we will return to our small gathering of seven for both, eight if my son comes to town. We love to give our grandchildren books for Christmas.

If books is your idea gift to give, one of these three books are idea for anyone who loves to read personal God experience stories.

We all have one life. That one life exists because of the many lives that came before.

Juel, a 64-year-old African American, shares her spiritual journey through her many lives. Each life will inspire, convict, inform, bring tears and laughter. Several of those lives were affected by COVID-19.

Have you ever tried to read the entire bible cover to cover but could not finish because you were distracted, bored, or it took too long?

Join Juel as she shares her fourth thirteen-week experience reading the entire bible and how she did it.

All Christians are called to fish for men.  What did that look like for the first twelve that Jesus called to this mission?

Get a glimpse of the personalities of the original fishers of men.
