In 2013 and 2014 I made six attempts to be published in “Chicken Soup for the Soul” and entered two of “Guideposts Writers Workshop Contest”. None of my stories have been published in either publication.
Today after attending B. J. Taylor’s workshop at a writer’s conference and reading “Writing True Stories: Using the Winning Formula P MS to a T” I rewrote one of the six stories I previously submitted to “Chicken Soup for the Soul”. I have confidence this seventh (number of perfection) will be the first of many stories that will be accepted by them.
B. J. Taylor’s book is simple, easy to read and understand. It gives you the winning formula for a selling personal story: Problem, Multiple Scenes, Turnaround/Takeaway (P MS to a T). With this formula I am ready to reengage in nonfiction short stories.
Thanks God for giving me B. J. Taylor on your schedule so that future nonfiction short stories will be all for Your glory.
